A sheer delight for dessert lovers. This soft-centred cake will transport you to chocolate heaven with its perfect match of bitter chocolate and smooth, sweet Grand Marnier® liqueur.

For 6 individual cakes:
Cake:
- 3 oz chocolate
- 3½ oz butter
- 1 Tbsp. flour
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1½ tsp. Grand Marnier® Cordon Rouge liqueur
- Zest of 1 orange
- 4 oz heavy cream, whipped
Cinnamon Filling:
- 6 squares of chocolate
- Cream the butter and sugar together.
Add the melted chocolate and gently fold in the eggs being careful not to over mix.
Add the flour, orange zest and liqueur.
Pour the batter into individual moulds and insert a square of chocolate into the middle of each cake.
Bake for 12 minutes in a 190°C oven.
Unmould the cakes onto plates and decorate with a spoonful of whipped cream sprinkled with cinnamon.
Chef's tip
It is possible to make a larger quantity of cakes and freeze them. In that case, the cooking time needs to be doubled.
Serve with a glass of Grand Marnier® Cordon Rouge liqueur.
To obtain a crunchy texture on top while remaining runny inside, the cake must be baked quickly and at a high temperature.
